This year has been a difficult year for us all – and especially for the creative community. During Giving Tuesday this year, we invite you to invest back in the lives of artists, providing paying opportunities for their stories to be seen and shared.
We recognize that the voices of artists of color in the community often go unheard, and paying opportunities available for artists to make a livable wage with their work is not always the standard. Addressing this reality is our top priority. With your support, we can raise the bar and set a new standard for all artists, especially artists of color, to be visible and to receive proper, market-rate compensation for their work. Too often, these rates are inaccessible to many small organizations. We are working to change that.

In partnership with Xico Arte y Cultura, we are launching a new UNCONTAINED mural project, to create space for Indigenous and Latinx artists to share their visual stories through rotating, seasonal murals. Learn more about the program here. The UNCONTAINED mural project is designed to elevate emerging Latinx and Indigenous artists, providing a platform to create and showcase their stories on a prominent shipping container in the Roosevelt Row Arts district.
We commit to working towards providing a livable wage that stabilizes and strengthens the work that artists do in our communities and in our lives. Join us in our commitment to do better. Our goal is to raise $5,000 on Giving Tuesday, with a future goal of increasing this stipend as the program grows. With your generous gift, this program will amplify the voices of participating artists, and offer a $1,000 stipend for their work, as well as funds for needed supplies.
