If you could do one thing to improve your neighborhood, what would you create? Would you paint a mural? Plant shade trees or a community garden? Host a community event? Turn a vacant lot into a pocket park? Record oral histories of your neighbors? What improvements or activities, large or small, would you like to see where you live, work and play? You are invited to join friends and neighbors to help shape and share your ideas. Attend any one of four free workshops to introduce a new funding opportunity to improve locations in the neighborhoods between 19th Ave. and 16th St. along Roosevelt St. James Rojas, an artist and urban planner, will lead each of the four free workshops to introduce Roosevelt Row CDC and the process to set goals and funding priorities for potential new projects in the area. Bring and share your ideas! This effort is being undertaken by Roosevelt Row CDC and is supported through a national grant from ArtPlace. For additional information, look over the official press release, or send us an email. Details on dates and times can be found below, and in press release.
